With more and more platforms getting added to offer services, its is necessary for every product to be available to all os those inorder to stand in this competative industry. RESTfull services are the most effetient and most commonly used mechanisum these days to meet this task. These services becomes more important while migrating to SOA based architecture which saves developers from writing duplicate functionality for different platforms and creating maintenance nightmare for the product.

In my past 3+ year of web development experience, I have been working on signing and implementing the REST full services in JAVA for 2+ years. I have designed both action based and resource based REST services and sometime also a mixture of these wherever a balance of these two are required.

Posses insight knowledge of JAX-RS - the core Java services used to build REST APIs in java, JAXB - the core Java services to perform marshelling and un-marshelling of request/response, Jersey - the 3rd party concrete implementation on these core services and other implementations like RESEasy, SpringREST etc.
